I'm not dead yet

Sorry I didn't email you last week, I ran out of time. We have a new rule to write the new president every week, and well... that takes 20 minutes of my time because typing in Portuguese really is not the fasts thing in the world!
whatever!

Well this week was really funny! We had a tons of really funny things happen... and some not so funny things. I will start with the not so funny things so that at least you end this email with a smile! So, I saw a kid get hit by a motorcycle. How horrible is that!!! Remember the part in Tale of Two Cities when the kid gets run over? That is what I thought of with this horrifying experience. We helped the kid and his family and he is home and, as far as we know, doing well. It is an image I will never forget! How incredibly frail the human body is!!! The family actually turned out to be members of the church but we didn't know that. Then after the whole things was over, once the kid was in the hospital and we were talking to the grand mother, I fainted. It was like I was some sissy girl or something it is weird to faint, guys don't try that at home.

The other things that happened this week, holy cow we just had so many! We had this one man trying to talk to me in a ton of different languages, ok times up!

Transfers

Oi,

So I finally got transferred! I geuss this is a lesson to be carful what you wish for... so I was getting all cabin feverish in Camaçari but I was happy and I loved living with the girls and everything was really very good, but I was getting all antsy.

Now I am hear in Fera de Santan. Even though I was sad to leave my old area, this one is really awesome. I am happy and excited to be with my new companion, she is great! She got hear the transfer after me and has always been in the city nest to Camaçari, somos filha. Anyway, she is great, really smart and is going to be such a great companion. We are hear opening the area for Sisters, this will be a bit different than what we've been doing!

The only thing I know now is that Elders are so GROSS! We moved into the apartment the Elders moved out of. I can't believe they lived in the condition we found the apartment.

The house is great, it's way big and really great, but SO incredibly dirty... EUWWWW!!!! It's a good thing we can change that. This area is suppose to be really dangerous. In Camaçari we've (as in the missionaries) had a few assaults and last week a man even pulled a knife on my ZL! But I guess that is not as bad as the areas in Salvador where worse things have happened. But the Lord always will bless us.

Anyway, life is good. Have a great week everyone and feel free to write me a letter or an email or something :)

july happyness

Hey, so life hear in Biha is cool,... literally. I am using a sweeter right now and I sleep with a blanket. How it is cold hear? I don't know!!! But that is fine.

Last week we all got to meet our new president; he is an extremely smart man and I think will be able to bless this mission a lot. It's interesting to see how people react to change and what people say and do. Well, it will be cool; I think we can all lean a lot with this new president.

Life is good hear, I think I will leave Camaçari this next week with transfers. But then again, with this new president I really don't know. If not then it will be almost nine months in this one area, but that would be cool too.

Well, have a good week with all you are doing. I know life gets busy during this time of year. I love you all more than words can express.
